ABOUT SMALLER SCHOLARS MONTESSORI
SCHOOLS,
AND THE MONTESSORI ACADEMY...
Smaller Scholars was founded in January, 1985.
We offer Montessori programs for Toddler level through sixth
grade. We completed the construction of our 5.5-acre Dairy
Ashford campus in March '97. The total enrollment at this campus
is 315 students with a waiting list for most classrooms. We
completed the remodeling of a 10,000 sq. ft. building on an
adjacent 2.55 acre property for our elementary school children.
The facility opened in August 2001 as The Montessori Academy.
Now, our Preschool and the Elementary school share a park-like
8-acre campus.
Our second location, Smaller Scholars Too, in the
Memorial/Eldridge "Energy Corridor" opened in August 1993 and
offers programs for Transition and Primary students. Some 105
children are currently enrolled in Montessori programs at this
school.
Smaller Scholars provides an educational environment
which will address your child's specific developmental and
academic needs. This unique program is designed to take
advantage of the child's sensitive learning periods.
Smaller Scholars enhances the Montessori curriculum
with a music program, computer education & gross motor
development classes. Many special events and programs are
planned throughout the school year and offer opportunities for
both students and family involvement. |
