The Glass House
In 1915, Maria Montessori was invited to the Pan Pacific International Exposition in San Francisco to set up a classroom in a glass walled room for people to see her teaching method in action. They were amazed to see these children working independently and with such concentration. The “Glass House” gave a true glimpse of what Montessori’s teaching philosophy could accomplish in the lives of children. We would like to give a similar glimpse into the classroom experience through this virtual tour.
