Here, our trained, qualified and caring staff takes a hands-on Montessori approach to learning and provides quality programming and dedicated teachers for children from 18 months to 12 years old.
Our students are encouraged to be active and creative explorers, as well as independent, self-confident, and inquisitive learners. Each child is treated as an individual and encouraged to progress at his natural ability recognizing that every child has unique abilities and interests.
The family-friendly policy of Smaller Scholars is one that welcomes parent visits. We host Parent Education Nights, family events, and celebrate major holidays that create a fun, celebratory feel. Our buildings are set on an eight acre park-like campus, which includes a gymnasium and outdoor park featuring 3 age appropriate playgrounds, a track, and a waterplex.
Due to our individualized instruction, you may apply for entry at any time. Our children wear uniforms as we believe it gives the children a sense of pride and a feeling of belonging to a group while allowing them to develop as individuals through their own personality and abilities.

Our most important goal is to provide your child with an environment that champions children to grow intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically and to cultivate a lifetime love of learning.
The basic idea of the Montessori philosophy of education is that all children carry within themselves the person they will become. In order to develop their physical, intellectual, and spiritual potential, the children must have freedom, which is achieved through order and self-discipline.
More About Our School
We want to help children think for themselves as individuals in an atmosphere of cooperation and community. Maria Montessori often quoted, “Help me to do it by myself,” describing each child’s expression of an inner need for independence. Our program emphasizes this need by encouraging investigation and discovery with direct hand-on experiences. The curriculum includes all of the traditional Montessori areas of Practical Life, Sensorial, Math, Language, Geography, Science, Art and Music. The children also practice “Grace and Courtesy” which emphasizes respect of one’s self, for others, for the environment and for one’s work while promoting academic excellence, creativity, and self-motivation and teaching a lifetime love of learning.
