Our Schools
Established in 1985, Smaller Scholars Montessori Academy offers Montessori programs for Toddlers through Kindergarten and 1st through 6th grades. The campuses are conveniently located in/near West Houston’s Energy Corridor.
Our unique three building Dairy Ashford location is set on an eight acre park-like campus, which includes a large gymnasium and an outdoor park featuring sports fields and a waterplex!
Conveniently located just off I-10 (Katy Freeway) and across from the Park and Ride, our second location at Grisby, offers the Montessori curriculum for your Toddler and Primary students.
Our schools enhance the Montessori curriculum with a music program for all ages. Many special events and programs are planned throughout the school year that offer opportunities for student and family involvement.
Goals and Objectives
The main objective of Smaller Scholars Montessori Academy is to provide a carefully planned, stimulating environment which will help the children develop within themselves the foundational habits, attitudes, skills and ideas which are essential for a lifetime of creative thinking and learning.
The specific goals for the children who attend the school are:
- To develop a positive attitude toward school and learning.
- To develop a sense of high self-esteem.
- To build concentration skills needed for lifelong study.
- To develop and foster an abiding curiosity.
- To develop habits of initiative and persistence.
- To foster inner discipline and a sense of order.
